Patrick Mulaudzi of Tshivhulani near Thohoyandou in Limpopo, SA, has told Daily Sun that a life without sex has made him very happy.
He prefers not to have to worry about a wife and kids.
He said he's very healthy and hardly ever takes taxis - he prefers walking.
"It takes me just 15 minutes to walk 4km as I'm healthy," he said.
When the SunTeam caught up with Patrick, he was walking at high speed from Vuwani to his village wearing a suit, sunglasses and a hat.
He said that he truly doesn't understand why sex is a big deal and has slept with a woman only twice in his life.
"There is nothing special about sex," says Patrick who first slept with a woman when he was 22.
"I didn't have the same interest in it that other men of my age did," he said.
As he has no wife or kids, Patrick spends his money on food, washing powder and polish to make sure he always looks good.
"Some people think I am selfish for not wanting a woman, but women are demanding and always want to know where you are. With the life I have chosen I can be wherever I want at any time. I love my life," he said.
Patrick wears a suit with a matching hat every day when he does odd jobs like offloading things from trucks.
"I make enough money to buy suits and hats. My fellow villagers call me ngamla because of my style," he said.
Patrick added that the villagers know he isn't rich as he has never spent more than R50 on any of his suits, which he buys from hawkers.
