BULAWAYO soccer giants Highlanders will hold trials in preparation for the 2016 season to beef up their junior squads this week .
The trials are targeting Under-14s, Under-16s and Under-18s but the emphasis will be on Under-14s.
Juniors' coach Gift Lunga Junior and the senior team's interim technical advisor Cosmas Zulu are set to spear head the trials at the clubhouse tomorrow and Sunday.
Highlanders' chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede said the trials were in line with reviving the club's junior policy reputation.
Highlanders have of late been investing in their juniors and their development side was promoted into the Zifa Southern Region Division One at the end of last season.
Gumede hinted that there won't be trials for the Division One side as available gaps there will be filled by players dropped from the senior squad.
"Our Division One side has only five gaps left to fill, but we will not be looking for any new faces as we will take those players who will have failed to impress in the first team," said Gumede.
