Perfectionist son hangs himself over minor error

A "perfectionist" son hanged himself after making a minor mistake over a business invoice, an inquest heard today.
Huw Parry was found dead in a storage shed after apparent emotional turmoil about a slight VAT mistake with a bill weeks earlier.
The 36-year-old left a note for his devastated family expressing his regret about the small mishap, which had quickly been resolved.
Mr Parry feared he had damaged the reputation of his father's business, the hearing in Ruthin heard, who he worked with as a fencing contractor.
North Wales coroner John Gittins described his death as a tragedy and said Mr Parry had 'grossly misjudged' the situation before recording a verdict of suicide.
His mother Ann said during the hearing: "Huw was quiet but a perfectionist who took pride in his work. Work was his hobby as well as his job and he had a close group of friends.
"He was happy and content and there was nothing to show he had any concerns about anything."
Huw's father Ken discovered his son's body at the storage shed they rented at Plas Coch Farm in Tremeirchion, Flintshire, north Wales, on June 23.
The parents began to grow concerned about Huw after he went out the evening before his death and did not return home for work.
Mrs Parry added: "My husband waited for him before going to the shed at about 9am.
"When he got there he saw the van and found Huw."
Referring to the motive for his suicide, coroner Mr Gittins said: "It (the VAT error) seems to have played on Huw's mind. It is a very tragic case and one of a momentary lapse of judgement.
"The realisation is that he grossly misjudged the situation if that was the reason.
"The reasons he gave are a sign of his integrity."
