Family who dumped coffin at alleged murderer's place charged for extortion

Six members of a family who hit the headlines recently after taking the body of a deceased relative to the house of his alleged killer's mother have been arrested.
At the time the six pall bearers are said to have sang urging their dead relative to revenge before leaving with the body.
The mother of the man accused of killing the six's relative immediately made a report to the police after they had left.
The six were nabbed on attempted extortion charges and brought before Western Commonage magistrate, Mr Themba Chimiso.
They were remanded out of custody to 4 October.
It is reported that on 17 September the following Ruth Madhera (51) of 15927 Seke, Chitungwiza, Susan Mareya (53) of 7498 Budiriro, Harare, Daniel Tshuma, Zanele Sibanda, Sazini Sibanda and Violet Sibanda all from Cowdray Park took their deceased relative's coffin to house number J72.
When they got there they were reportedly singing "Themba akauraya, Themba akauraya".
Themba is the man accused of killing their relative.
The six opened the gate and got into the yard.
The alleged killer's mother then ran into the house and locked the door.
However, the six would have none of it and tasked one of them to knock violently on the door.
Consequently the alleged killer's mother came out.
The six then demanded the money that they had earlier on agreed that it was going to be compensation for their dead relative.
She told them that she did not have it.
They then opened the coffin and forced her to kneel beside it before demanding that she look inside.
She did so.
They went on to tell her that they were going to bury the deceased and demanded their money soon after burial.
After giving the order, the six took the coffin and walked backwards marking the end of the drama.
