The 35-year-old flea market vendor from Cowdray Park surburb in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, who was killed on Monday last week has been buried.
Sithabile Ndlovu-Ncube who was killed and dumped in a storm drain by her alleged lover was buried at West Park Cemetery on Sunday.
Her brother, Mr Collen Ncube confirmed the burial on Monday.
"The post mortem report stated that she died of three things: strangling, head injuries which resulted in internal bleeding and severe beatings all over the body. We laid her to rest at West Park Cemetery on Sunday," said Mr Ncube.
Ndlovu-Ncube's body was found lying with no clothes on Monday morning last week.
She was married to Mr Costa Ncube who said he was out of town when his wife was killed.
Brighton Chagonda, a police officer at Luveve Police Station has since been arrested in connection with the alleged murder.
Chagonda appeared in court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody to 4 September.
The police officer is alleged to have assaulted Ndlovu-Ncube with whom he was believed to be having an affair.
This was after she told him that her marriage was about to break because of the affair.
The court heard that on the fateful day at about 1am, the two were overhead outside Ndlovu-Ncube's house having a heated argument.
The evidence linking Chagonda to the murder is that he was allegedly seen by neighbours assaulting her near the storm drain where her body was found.
It is further alleged that the clothes that Chagonda was wearing on the day in question were recovered with blood stains and he was the last one to be seen with Ndlovu-Ncube.
