Stepfather threatens to kill 14-year-old if she reports rape

A mother of five reported her lover of 13 years for raping her daughter.
She tricked her lover into believing she had forgiven him and called the cops.
The 33-year-old woman from Simunye in Westonaria had never suspected that her lover of 13 years had been raping her 14-year-old daughter for the past year.
"I asked my daughter how this had happened and she explained to me that every time I went to sell clothes, my lover raped her," she said.
Her daughter had been keeping the dreadful secret for a year and crying herself to sleep.
The girl said that last year in January, her mother's lover called her to the bedroom.
"He ordered me to take my clothes off, and when I refused he took them off."
She said that since that day her mother's lover had raped her on several occasions.
When her mother found out she confronted her lover, who responded by saying she should be grateful that her daughter was not dead.
"I couldn't believe what he was saying to me. I was so angry but I didn't show it," the mother said.
She said her lover then called her daughter to the bedroom and threatened to kill her if she told any of her friends or teachers what had happened.
Cops spokeswoman Sergeant Busi Moene confirmed that a case of rape was opened and the suspect, a 45-year-old man, was arrested.
Moene said the suspect appeared in the Westonaria Magistrates Court on Tuesday and was still in police custody.
The suspect would appear again in court next week.
