Sherry West, of Brunswick, Georgia, US, says she was walking her 13-month-old son Antonio when she was allegedly robbed at gunpoint by De’Marquis Elkins, 17, and his 14-year-old accomplice.
She had no money so one of the robbers told her, ‘I am going to kill your baby.’
Cops are looking for two young male suspects, one between 13 and 15 years old, and the other possibly as young as 10, in the shooting death of 13-month-old Antonio West.
The senseless point-blank execution came seconds after the teenage killers shot and wounded the tot’s terrified mother in a botched robbery.
“Do you want me to shoot your baby?” one of them said, before ending the 13-month-old boy’s life, police said.
Little Antonio Santiago’s mom Sherry West, although wounded, gave cops a detailed description of the teens.
De’Marquis Elkins, 17, and his 14-year-old alleged accomplice were nabbed after heavily-armed police in Brunswick, Ga., went door to door searching for them.
Elkins was charged as an adult with first-degree murder while the younger teen, who was not identified because he is a juvenile, is also charged with first-degree murder, said Green.
