Singer Katy Perry considered suicide after Russell Brand

Katy Perry admits she considered suicide after the strain of divorcing Russell Brand almost became too much for her to cope with.
The shocking revelation emerged in a new interview as Katy reveals she found herself lying on the bathroom floor, pondering ending it all.
She sings about her heartbreak in her song By the Grace of God which appears on her upcoming album PRISM.
Speaking to Billboard magazine she explained: "That song is evident of how tough it really was at a certain point.
"I asked myself, 'Do I want to endure? Should I continue living?' All the songs are real-life moments."
Katy – who is currently dating fellow singer John Mayer continued: "I can only write autobiographically. I put all the evidence in the music.
"I tell my fans if they want to know the real truth about stuff, just listen to the songs."
The US superstar also references her marriage to comedian Russell in another song called Ghost which digs at reports Russell asked for a divorce by text message.
It features the line: "You sent a text / It's like the wind changed your mind."
These things always have a way of coming out sooner or later, however, and Katy previously revealed that she has not heard from her ex-husband since he sent a message to say he was divorcing her.
She said: "He's a very smart man, a magical man and I was in love with him when I married him. Let's just say I haven't heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011."
Speaking to US Vogue, she said she often blamed herself for the failure of the marriage but has since found out that there was more to the split than meets the eye.
Just don't expect her to spill the beans any time soon - that's something she plans to keep close to her chest for a very long time.
"I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth, which I can't necessarily disclose because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day.
"I let go and I was like, 'This isn't because of me; this is beyond me.' So I have moved on from that."
