TIRED of flimsy excuses given by a woman who owed him money, a Bulawayo firewood trader did the unimaginable! He allegedly fondled the woman's breasts and caressed her thighs as a way of fixing her for failing to settle the debt, a magistrate heard.
Bulawayo magistrate Charity Maphosa heard how on the night of November 27, 2013, Khulekani Ndebele,62, of Woodville, stormed into Loveness Moyo's bedroom and jumped into her bed before he allegedly fondled the woman's breasts and touching her pair of thighs.
Prosecuting, Shepherd Nhambura told the court that on November 20, Moyo went to Ndebele's homestead and bought firewood on credit on the understanding that she would pay the money at a later date.
The court was told that Ndebele would on numerous occasions visit Moyo to enquire about his money. Each time he asked the complainant about the money, she would give him excuses.
"On November 27, Ndebele went to Moyo's homestead during which he stormed into her bedroom and found her lying on bed. He demanded his money and when Moyo indicated that she did not have the money, Ndebele closed the door before he jumped into Moyo's bed and started caressing her thighs and fondling her breasts," said Nhambura.
Soon after committing the allegedly offence, the accused walked out the room.
Moyo reported the matter to the police the following day leading to the arrest of Ndebele.
Maphosa remanded in custody to Ndebele to January 9, 2014, for trial.
