A cyclist was robbed of his iPhone and wallet as he lay unconscious on a street in south-east London.
The 28-year-old was knocked off his bike in Nigel Road, Peckham, at around 2.15am on Tuesday before his possessions were taken.
Police say they are looking for a number of suspects, who may have posed as Good Samaritans at the scene, and have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
'The 28-year-old victim fell from his bicycle on Nigel Road, junction with Rye Lane, SE15,' said a Scotland Yard spokesman.
'While lying unconscious, an unknown number of suspects stole his iPhone, wallet and cigarettes.
'The victim was taken by London Ambulance Service to a south London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.'
In 2011, a Malaysian student was robbed by two men posing as Good Samaritans in east London after his jaw was broken in an unprovoked attack.
