The bodies of two little cousins who went missing in South Africa on Saturday have been found dumped in a public toilet.
According to residents of Diepsloot extension 1, north of Johannesburg, it appeared as if they had been raped and strangled.
The bodies of Yonalisa (2) and Zandile Mali (3) were found by a resident who went to the toilet at 5am.
The two girls lived in the same area where a five-year-old girl was raped, killed and dumped in a dustbin last month.
There are rumours that the crimes are related.
Speaking at the scene yesterday, Honeydew commander Major-General Oswald Reddy said the two cases would be investigated together.
He also confirmed that there was a possibility that the cousins were raped, but he stressed that it could not be confirmed before a post mortem was performed.
He urged residents not to take the law into their own hands but to give the police any information they had.
By mid-morning, angry residents were threatening to take action themselves.
