A 66-year-old man is alleged to have stabbed to death Phindile Nzimande (35) from KwaDumisa in Umzinto, on the south coast of KZN, SA, on Saturday afternoon.
It's alleged the suspect lost his temper when he caught Phindile who was his girlfriend talking to her former boyfriend.
The 24-year-old, whose name was only given as Khehla, was stabbed seven times in his chest and back by the 66-year-old.
He was rushed to hospital.
Phindile's sister,Nomthandazo Nzimande (25), said she lived alone near the family home.
"On the day of her death, I saw Ben 10 (sugar daddy) walking towards her house. An hour later, my 10-year-old niece came running into the house and said Phindile had been hurt," she said. Phindile was found lying in a pool of blood.
"She tried moving her lips but her voice didn't come out. She had been stabbed five times," said Nomthandazo.
"Her phone was missing and when I called her number, the madala answered. He said Phindile got what she deserved for betraying him."
Captain Thulani Zwane said: "A 66-year-old old man was arrested for murder and attempted murder in Umzinto.
"He appeared in the Dududu Magistrates Court on Monday."
