Drama unfolded on a bus travelling from Malalane to Mbombela in Mpumalanga, SA, when heated words were exchanged between two preachers who wanted to collect offerings from commuters.
Pastor Ndlela and Pastor Themba Nyundu who usually travel in separate buses happened to be on one bus yesterday.
Ndlela said: "Everybody knows this is my bus, but this man just shows up and wants to preach and take the offering.
"Well, just give the offering to me while he preaches."
Commuters, who continued listening to Nyundu while Ndlela collected money, asked Ndlela to share with his fellow preacher but he refused.
"I can't give this man my money. He must choose his bus and make his people give him more. There are many buses that go to Mbombela from 4am. He must use his own bus," Ndlela said.
But one commuter, Thembisile Nkosi, said: "Ndlela is wrong. He collects offerings but when we give little he asks us to give more. He is clearly here just for money."
Asked for comment, Nyundu said Ndlela refused to talk to him before they boarded the bus at Malalane.
Nyundu said: "I just wanted to preach the word of God and get off the bus. But after the people gave Ndlela money he wouldn't share it. I saw him looking at me in a bad and bitter way."
