An Oregon teenager decided to call the police over a 'massive freaking spider.'

Police in America have released the unbelievable recording of her 911 call to highlight the silly requests they receive.

'I have spent the last 20 minutes panicking… it is huge' the unidentified girl is heard saying, as well as pleading 'I've no idea what to do.'

The call centre operator agreed to send an officer to her abode, which prompted her to ask: 'Is that ridiculous?'

The appearance of the arachnid, which happened on August 16 in the town of Forest Grove, made the girl more scared than normal because a family member had apparently been bit recently by a huge spider.

'I'm usually not scared by stuff like this but this thing is massive,' she said, comparing its size to that of a tarantula.

As it turned out the creature was less than 2in in diameter and the cop disposed of it using a rolled-up newspaper, KPTV reported an officer as saying.

Forest Grove police said that while it's not protocol for them to respond to a call about spiders, they decided to help out the young woman in this case.
