Villagers living in fear of 'man-made, bone eating' lighting

Villagers from Matankeni area, Maphisa in Matabeleland South are apparently hunting for a trunk carrying a concoction to make lightning which was left by its owner 10 years ago.
The man only identified as Ndumela died and left the trunk in the custody of his children, Lot (78) and Tresiah (76).
However, the two have failed to abide by the trunk's 'demands' – which is to apparently kill a person and put a bone in it to feed the lighting.
Villagers are living in fear for their lives as the lightning has become destructive striking people anytime 'without even considering seasons.'
The lighting has struck five people in a space of three months.
A source from the village said; "People from Matankeni are having sleepless nights because of this lightning. Have you ever seen lightning striking people in winter or summer? At Matankeni area it is happening.
"All we want is Ndumela's children to reveal to the villagers who inherited the man-made lightning from their father.
"Lot who is still staying at the village told the chief and villagers that he surrendered the trunk which had the lightning to his sister."
Villagers have reportedly sent a messenger to Tresiah who stays in Entumbane to come to Matankeni rural home as they want to get the two together and try and get the truth about the whereabouts of the trunk.
Sources claim Tresiah has been refusing and as such, villagers have concluded that she is the one who inherited the man-made lightning powers.
Tresiah confirmed that her father had lightning and that her brother surrendered the trunk to her but said she threw it away.
"After my father's death, my brother Lot took away the trunk which had the lightning muti telling me it was too big for me.
"Four years later, he returned the trunk and when I asked him the reasons why he was returning it, he told me to throw it away if I could not get human bones for it and I threw it away.
"The tsikamutanda's (witch doctors) came to our village and accused me of having the lightning muti. When I took them to where I had thrown the trunk, we did not get it which means someone picked it up and that is the person using it now," said the old woman.
She said her hands are clean and suggests that villagers look for true prophets who will find the whereabouts of the trunk and the person using it.
Villagers have agreed that each family should pay $1 which will be used to pay a traditional healer who will be assigned to hunt for the trunk and the person sending lightning to strike villagers
