Johannesburg - A leaked photograph, purportedly showing the scene where model Reeva Steenkamp was shot dead, has "shaken" the family of murder-accused paralympian Oscar Pistorius, his uncle said on Sunday night.
"We were shaken by the graphic images, leaked into the public domain this week, of the accident scene at Oscar's house," Arnold Pistorius said in a statement.
The picture and others of the scene were posted on the Sky News website in the United Kingdom.
One photograph shows blood on a toilet seat, and a pool of blood on the floor.
The bullet holes Pistorius shot into the bathroom door are marked with stretches of tape, while a panel near the door handle has been taped-up.
Court appearancePistorius's family continued to support him ahead of his appearance in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
"We believe in him, love him and will support him every step of the way in what lies ahead."
The family had consistently asked that the legal process be allowed its run its course with integrity.
"The leaking of evidential material into the public domain, before the court case, does not advance this process.
"We continue to have great faith in the South African legal justice system and believe that Oscar's account of what happened on that terrible night in February will be borne out by the evidence that the defence team will lead in court."
Pistorius has denied murdering Steenkamp, claiming he mistook her for an intruder on 14 February.
The State argued that he killed her following a fight and charged him with premeditated murder.
He was granted bail of R1m by the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on 22 February.
