A Karoi man has taken three of his workmates to court after they allegedly took a picture of him dozing while seated on a toilet seat and posted the picture on the social networking site, Facebook.
Tinashe Mugavazi, 28, Kudakwashe Chumachata, 25 and Michael Madondo, 32, all of Chikangwe Township, Karoi, Zimbabwe were each granted US$30 bail when they appeared before Karoi resident magistrate Mr Robson Finsin last week.
As part of their bail conditions the three were ordered to reside at their given addresses and not to interfere with witnesses until their case is finalised.
The trio's charges arose on March 17 this year when musician Progress Chipfumo had a show at the council-owned Chikangwe Tavern.
Apparently Munyulwa 42, a council security officer who was part of the revellers, visited the staff toilets but fell asleep while relieving himself.
Upon discovering that Munyulwa was fast asleep on the toilet seat, it is alleged that Mugavazi, who is a cashier at the bar, took a photograph of his half-dressed colleague using a mobile phone belonging to Chumachata.
Chumachata, it is further alleged, later sent the photograph to Mugavazi and Madombo's mobile phones using the Bluetooth function after which it was posted on Facebook.
Munyulwa only discovered the development two days later after people who had seen the picture on the Internet jeered him each time he walked the streets.
Munyulwa later reported the matter to the police.
