Singer Chris Brown has had a seizure due to extreme emotional stress and intense fatigue, according to his publicist.
The former boyfriend of fellow recording artist Rihanna suffered the episode while he was he was working in a Los Angeles studio, said spokeswoman Nicole Perna.
The 24-year-old US star was examined by a doctor but did not got to hospital after the non-epileptic seizure on Friday morning.
Brown took to Twitter on Saturday, saying: "They won't love u until u r a memory..."
Ms Perna said the "continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity" contributed to Brown's illness.
The singer has been on probation since he assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
A judge last month revoked his probation and ordered a hearing over an alleged hit-and-run in May.
In February, authorities investigated an alleged fight between Brown and singer Frank Ocean at a recording studio. Ocean did not press charges.
The same month, Brown crashed his Porsche while being chased by paparazzi.
Then last month he was charged with hit-and-run offences and driving without a valid licence.
He is suspected of driving into another car that was stopped at a red light in the San Fernando Valley on May 12 and refusing to give the other driver his licence or insurance information.
