The spitfire wife of former Mets hurler Kris Benson was busted Monday after she allegedly burst into his Atlanta apartment wearing a bulletproof vest and tried to rob him at gunpoint.
Anna Benson also reportedly whipped out an "expandable metal baton" and threatened to beat her estranged husband with it Sunday, TMZ.com reported.
Benson told cops he got her to leave by promising to bring her some money, TMZ.com reported.
The minutes Anna Benson was gone, though, he called the cops.
The 37-year-old former "Baseball Wives" star was arrested and charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault with a weapon, one count of criminal trespass, and one count of possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.
Benson, who filed for divorce last year, told investigators he believed his soon-to-be ex was wearing the vest because she figured he was armed.

Her spokesman insisted she was joking and the couple later reconciled.
Anna Benson went on to star in the short-lived "Baseball Wives" series, which aired on VH1 from Nov. 2011 to Jan. 2012 before it was cancelled.
