After spending a mere 45 minutes in jail Monday for a hit and run, Chris Brown took to Twitter Tuesday morning to proclaim that he's quitting music.
"Don't worry, mainstream America," Brown wrote. "After this X album, it'll probably be my last album.
"Being famous is amazing when it's for your music and talent," he continued. "I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I was 18. I'm cool and over it!"
Brown is referring to his 2009 assault of on-and-off girlfriend Rihanna, for which he says she's forgiven him.
Clearly, he doesn't think the rest of the world has, if his recent tweets are any indication.
So is this a publicity stunt for his upcoming album, X, or is Brown just another in a long line of musicians who've said that they're quitting music but never actually do?
