Police have finished their investigation of murder accused Oscar Pistorius, Eyewitness News reported on Tuesday, just days before the paralympian's next court appearance.
This comes after it reported last month that investigators were unable to forensically analyse the athlete's smartphone for possible key evidence.
Police investigators asked their counterparts at Interpol to assist them in acquiring Apple's expertise, EWN reported.
Pistorius is accused of the pre-meditated murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. He claims he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder.
A trial date is expected to be set when the paralympian appears in court next week, The New Age reported.
"For now, we are hoping to have the indictment ready [by next Monday]. At the next court appearance a trial date will be announced," National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Medupe Simasiku told the newspaper.
