Former South African National soccer team player Bryce Moon has been fined R60,000 or two years in prison for culpable homicide.
Moon was convicted of culpable homicide earlier this month for driving at high speed and hitting a Zimbabwean woman, Mavis Ncube, in Sandton in 2009.
He was acquitted of attempted murder, negligent and reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Moon's drivers licence has also been suspended for a period of six months.
The footballer was in court when sentence was handed down, but his lawyer said he was not yet ready to comment on the outcome.
