Filmmaker Devin Graham recorded the stunt that sent Jessica Powell falling 400 feet before swinging between a slot canyon.
Jessica Powell was set to free fall 400 feet down and swing between a slot canyon with one of the most extreme rope swings ever recorded.
Her boyfriend Creighton Baird came over to offer encouragement, but Powell was worried he might force her to jump.
"I'm not going to push you," Baird reassured her.
But after 45 minutes of waiting, that is exactly what he did.
"I'm breaking up with you!" Powell screamed, whizzing through the air, as Baird rolled on the floor laughing.
The extreme couple ventured out on this Utah adventure with Devin Graham, a filmmaker from Portland, Ore., who records his action-packed life for the Devin Super Tramp YouTube channel.
She vowed to break up with pusher Creighton Baird, but later thanked him for helping her face her fear.
In unused footage, Powell actually asked Baird to push her if she hesitated for too long, Graham explained.
Powell and Baird, who have appeared in about half of Graham's videos, did not actually break up — at least, not in the video.
"Sadly, last week they actually did break up," said Graham. "It had nothing to do with getting pushed off the rope swing."
Graham led the expedition two months ago to outdo his previous rope swing stunt, which both Powell and Baird performed.
"This rope swing is the biggest thing we've done. It's a sequel to last year's rope swing video — one of my most popular. I already planned what I'm going to do next year which is must bigger than this one," Graham said. "I want to take insane ideas, make them visually cool and inspire people to go out and live their lives."
