US - A 39-year-old Salt Lake City woman, Cindy Davidson found cocaine inside a box of tampons she had just bought from a discount store.
The woman told police that she bought the box of Boots tampons from an NPS store, which specializes in salvage and freight recovery and sells discounted products in Salt Lake City and online via eBay and Amazon.
Cindy Davidson told KUTV that when she opened the box two of the 16 tampons were replaced with a white powder wrapped in cellophane.
"It didn't look like it was tampered at all," she told KTVX-TV.
According to KUTV, police tested the substance and confirmed that it was cocaine.
The discount store claims that they purchase their items from auctions and that they have no clue where the cocaine could have come from.
Davidson said: "I've never seen anything like that, so it was weird."
