Simon Cowell's former girlfriend Sinitta has made a shocking claim that she underwent an abortion after she got pregnant while dating the music mogul.
The singer, who dated Cowell on and off during the 1980s, has previously spoken about the termination, blaming the abortion for her subsequent inability to conceive children naturally and branding it a "curse".
Sinitta has now alleged Cowell was the father, telling Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, that the curse has been lifted as she has been blessed with children and now Cowell is too, Contactmusic reported.
The singer went on to adopt two children, while Cowell is now preparing to become a first-time father with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman.
Sinitta had previously spoken about the abortion but has now named the music mogul as the father of the unborn child.
According to The Daily Mirror, Sinitta said 'yes' when asked if Simon was the dad but claims that she no longer feels 'cursed' by the decision after adopting two children.
She said: "I know the curse has been lifted because I have been blessed with children and now Simon is too, plus God forgives.
Sinitta no longer feels cursed by the decision because Simon Cowell is expecting a baby and she has adopted.
"I don't think there was ever a curse really - I was just talking about my thoughts at the time," she apparently said.
Friends close to the X Factor boss claim that he had no idea about the termination while Sinitta has been very 'emotional' since it was announced he and Lauren Silverman were expecting a son.
The insider told the paper: "It is an emotional time for her. She is happy for Simon about him becoming a father but was disappointed he did not confide in her earlier about Lauren and their relationship.
"They are very close and always will be. They could have been parents together once and there is a bond between them.

When the news was revealed that Simon was to be a father, Sinitta posted a cryptic message on Twitter which suggested she was conflicted by the revelation.
She wrote: "Something has just happened ..half miracle, half nightmare! #WakeMeUpIWantToGetOff!!"
