In a suspected case of witchcraft, a Chitungwiza woman stole her husband's second wife's panties, a court heard. Dinah Lakateni, who resides at House No. 7798 Unit K, went to her husband's second wife in Unit A and stole various clothing items including pants.
For the offence, Dinah was strongly warned and cautioned before being discharged at when she was hauled to Chitungwiza magistrate's court. Her case was heard before magistrate Olivia Mariga.
Prosecutor Tendai Mukariri said that sometime in December last year at around 6am, Dinah went to Tariro Nengomasha purportedly looking for her husband. It was said that she stormed the house and took various clothes including pants, all valued at US$30. Besides the knickers, Dinah had also made off with a skirt, blouse, and pair of trousers.
In ire, Tariro made a police report leading to Dinah's arrest. Magistrate Mariga warned and cautioned Dinah after she came clean and pleaded guilty to theft.
