Woman Frames Hubby In Revenge Attempt

A WOMAN from Pumula suburb in Bulawayo has been fined $100 for lying that her husband, who is a soldier, was threatening to shoot her and their six-year-old child.
Army officials and the police raided their house, looking for the gun and arrested the soldier.
Priscilla Mabvuure, 24, pleaded guilty to a charge of supplying false information to a public authority when she appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Tancy Dube.
Mabvuure said she lied because she wanted to fix her husband, Olga Ndlovu.
She told the court she was angry and stressed after Ndlovu refused to give her money for medical treatment.
Mabvuure said she left her husband with their six-year-old child and went to see a relative.
She said she was drunk when she returned home at around 7PM.
“He was angry and we quarrelled. I decided to fix him by calling his workplace since he had told me that there was a missing gun at his workplace. I told them I was Ndlovu’s wife and told them my husband had threatened to shoot me and my child,” said Mabvuure.
She added: “I gave them our address and they later came to search our house but they found no gun. My husband was arrested.”
Mabvuure said she confessed that it was all a lie and police arrested her.
She apologised to her husband in court.
Prosecuting, Keneth Shava told the court that Mabvuure, in a bid to fix her husband, supplied false information to the police.
Magistrate Dube ordered Mabvuure to pay a $100 fine before June 30.
