Cop Forces Lover To Commit Abortion

A WOMAN from Bulawayo told a court yesterday that her lover who is a police officer had ordered her to terminate her pregnancy.
Agnella Matetakufa, who has since given birth, dragged the cop, Mthulisi Maphosa, before magistrate Batanai Tuwe demanding $110 maintenance.
Matetakufa said Maphosa, who is stationed at Magwegwe police station, told her to terminate the pregnancy or he would not take care of the child.
“He told me to terminate the pregnancy or else he wouldn’t look after the child. He’s not helping with anything and the child doesn’t even have a birth certificate,” said Matetakufa.
Maphosa denied that he had directed her to abort. He also said the child was not his.
“Your Worship this child isn’t mine. We stay barely 200 metres apart with the mother of the child but it’s my first time to see the child in this court. If the child was really mine she would have brought her to me long back,” said Maphosa.
He said he had used a condom when they had sex.
Matetakufa denied Maphosa’s claims that he had never seen his child as they had been seeing each other since January.
Magistrate Tuwe ordered the couple to go for a paternity test.
“You’re ordered to pay $50 in the interim effective June 2016. If the results prove that the child isn’t yours the complainant shall restitute all the costs you’ll have incurred as well as the $50 monthly payments,” ruled Tuwe.
