Bulawayo is set to host a parliamentarian delegation headed by the Speaker, Jacob Mudenda over a two day period to discuss ease of doing business issues.
The government, through the office of the President and Cabinet, is spearheading the ease of doing business process that seeks to improve Zimbabwe’s investment climate and enhance economic growth.
Parliament spokesperson Retired Major Edward Mbewe said the two day seminar will kick start today.
The event members from different portfolio committees that include that on Finance and Economic Development, Industry and Commerce, Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment, Thematic Committee on Youth, Indigenisation and Empowerment, and selected members of the Portfolio Committee on Foreign Affairs.
Zimbabwe is working on improving its investment image as part of measures to facilitate medium to long term investment promotion.
Given the competition for investment across the region, enhancing the ease of doing business is critical in positioning the country as a favourable investment destination.
