Zanu PF Midlands province led by acting provincial chairman Tapiwa Matangaidze has dismissed July Moyo, Victor Matemadanda, Owen Mudha Ncube, Goodwill Shiri and Clarisse Mutambisi over allegations of gross misconduct, running parallel structures, divisive conduct and promoting factionalism.
The suspension also slashed provincial spokesperson Cornelius Mpereri, Justice Mayor Wadyajena and a Chigaba on the same allegations.
The Gweru held meeting was attended by a few provincial executive members, whilst the rest snubbed the meeting and attended a Mberengwa outreach.
Mpereri confirmed that some of the other provincial executive members were in Mberengwa where they had an outreach meeting together with central committee members and dismissed the votes on no confidence as null and void.
Provincial deputy chairman Daniel McKenzie Ncube also dismissed the no confidence vote saying it was mere mob rule where the members that constitute both the provincial executive and the coordinating committee were not present.
