A Chinese man was caught attempting to smuggle $32 000 out of Zimbabwe which is above the limit of $5000 that is allowed by law.
Li Yuchang,55, appeared before the courts charged with exporting foreign currency exceeding the prescribed amount.
It is alleged that during a search at the airport, officers recovered $10 000 hidden around Li's waist underneath his belt.
The court heard that Li's hand luggage was also searched after a tip off and $20 000 was recovered hidden inside.
It is alleged that another $2 000 was recovered in Li's wallet. He was then arrested.
Li was sentenced to pay $200 fine or spend 30 days in prison.
