A Lupane woman allegedly strangled her newly born baby and hid it under neath her matrimonial bed.
Sandile Mdlongwa from Nzwananzi Village in Lupane under headman Robson Lusinga allegedly gave birth to a baby boy.
The woman, without notifying anyone strangled the child and hid its body underneath her bed awaiting a chance to dispose of it.
Mdlongwa confided in neighbor who had promiced not to tell anyone of the awful deed.

The matter was then refereed to the police.
Efforts to get a comment from sgt Mashona, the acting Matebeland North police spokesperson hit a snag as his number was unavailable.
