A MAN who was being accused of raping a 17 year old girl after helping her with transport money from Binga, has been acquitted.
Brian Dlamini from Bulawayo's Entumbane suburb was arrested after his tenants told the girl's mother that he had abused her.
It is alleged that last year in May, the girl boarded a bus from Binga to Bulawayo without money after a relative arranged for Dlamini to pay for her in Bulawayo. On arrival Dlamini took her to his home, where it is alleged he raped her once during the same night.
The case was reported months after the alleged sex attack.
In passing his judgement, the judge said it was clear that the woman was not raped hence her silence for many months and acquitting Dlamini.
