A Matopo man's body parts have been reported to have gone amiss in a way that family members duped 'Nigerian movie style' with both doctors and police claiming no knowledge of where they went.
Mduduzi Sibanda, the now deceased was reportedly carried to United Bulawayo Hospital after being beaten and left for dead by Isaac Tshuma. Sibanda died on arrival at UBH.
Later on after collecting the body from
the hospital, the family learned that Sibanda's body was missing an eye,
private parts and tongue. The Family assumed Sibanda had been killed for rituals.
On confrontation with the police and UBH, a family source revealed to a local tabloid that there was no satisfactory answer from the two factions.
"The doctor did not tell us that some body parts were missing on arrival, this means they were still there when he got to the hospital," said Nyasha Sibanda, a relative.
Sibanda further revealed that Seargent Ndabezitha Mkhwananzi , the Matebeland South spokesperson of the ZRP referred them to the hospital. Whilst the hospital Chief Executive officer, Nonhlanhla Ndlovu referred them to the police for answers.
The body was laid to rest without the body parts.
