Shakes Kgwete (54) from Sebokeng says a powerful curse from his neighbour has led his life downhill.
"I had asked her to keep her small dog away from my yard and my dogs, and that was her response," he said.
"Soon after that I started having problems at work and got fired.
"I opened a business and it started doing well.
"I sold my car and bought a van. "But it burnt while it was parked outside the house and the business started going down.
"Sometimes, not even one person would come to my shop.
"Then, in 2008, I left my wife watching TV but when I came back she wasn't breathing properly. I rushed her to the hospital but she died.
"In 2011 my son fell at work.
"When he got home, he assured me that all was well but the following day he died. A post mortem revealed that he had died of natural causes.
"I love dogs but the 10 I had have all died.
"In August I called a sangoma and he dug up a monkey's head at the front door of my shop.
"Last month, I took out R40000 from my bank and put it into my business. I don't know where it went because I only made a profit of R450.
"I have spent over R50000 on sangomas, prophets and priests but nothing seems to help."
Apparently the neighbour has since left the area.
Daily Sun sangoma Ntsimb'edlezinye Ngema said: "The man was bewitched using dogs, so that he will suffer for the rest of his life.
"The person who cursed him took his luck away from him.
"So now that person is the one who gets all the things that are meant for Shakes."
