Corpse found with one buttock missing

A family from Binga's Siabutale Five, Dinga branch area is seeking answers following the death of their relative whose body was found with one of his buttocks cut off.
Amos Muleya's body was found at Chizarira game reserve in Binga District after his friend only identified as Siagwangwa alerted the latter's family that his friend had been killed by an elephant the previous day.
Muleya's nephew, Simon Mumpande said since his uncle's death, his family is still seeking answers regarding their relative's death.
"My uncle had gone hunting with his friend Siagwangwa at Chizarira game reserve and did not return home the same day.
"His friend only came to our homestead the following day telling our family that my uncle was killed by an elephant the previous day.
"Members of our family went to the game reserve and found his body with a missing buttock.
"There were Shangaan bags full of dried meat. There were no traces of elephant prints and any sign of wrestling. My uncle was found lying dead with his arms folded," Mumpange said.
Mumpange said they are worried because when they informed the police, they were told to just bury him.
They have apparently not attended the scene and have not even come down to the village to question Siagwangwa.
"One thing that quickly comes to the mind is why did Siagwangwa sleep at his home without informing us about Muleya's death?
"What was his conscience telling him? Did he really sleep with a clear conscience or there is something he was still calculating? Something is not adding up," Mumpange said.
He called on powers that be to investigate Muleya's death and bring conclusion into the matter.
"I am pleading with the police to look into this matter because as citizens we are banking on them.
"We are sure as a family that Siagwangwa has a story to tell but cannot just say it out without the involvement of the law."
