National deputy secretary general for the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Collaborators Association Charles Gawu said today's election is a Zanu-PF election.
"We have been waiting for this day to come. To us it is a big day because it represents the rising of Mbuya Nehanda from the dead. Zanu-PF's bones are rising from the dead tomorrow," he said.
Several prophets, pastors and bishops have also 'predicted' President Mugabe's victory in today's elections.
First to reveal the prophecy 70 years ago was Prophet Shonhiwa Masedza, founder of the Johane Masowe church.
Prophet Masedza reportedly gave the prophecy back in 1934 when President Mugabe was merely 10-years-old.
The Johane Masowe founder is said to have prophesied that young Robert Mugabe, when he grows up, would lead Zimbabwe as the nation's president till death.
Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe (ACCZ) leader, Bishop Johannes Ndanga 'confirmed' the prophecy and said ACCZ - which is an ecumenical body comprising of 600 indigenous apostolic and Zionist churches in the country - is fully behind the candidature of President Mugabe because of the 1934 prophecy that was delivered by the Johane Masowe leader.
In April this year, a council of prophets from more than 100 indigenous apostolic sects reportedly predicted President Mugabe's victory in this year's harmonised and peaceful elections.
"As prophets we would like to reveal the word that has been delivered to us through the Spirit. We now know the winner of the next harmonised elections and it is President Mugabe," Bishop Ndanga said.
