A 20-year-old man, Sihle Dlamini, who came back to South Africa for the first time after leaving the country for England, UK, with his parents at the age of seven has gone missing.
His mother, Nomvula MacLellan, is desperately searching for him.
Records show that Sihle landed safely at Oliver Tambo International Airport on 24 April via Kenya Airways.
It seems as if he took a taxi from a rank in Kempton Park.
He also went to shops in Hillbrow and Parkview, Joburg.
Nomvula, who came to South Africa to write an exam and has stayed on to look for her son, told Daily Sun: "Without my knowledge, he had applied for travelling funds in Britain from an international scheme that helps people go back to the countries they originally came from."
She found this out when Sihle's father went to collect Sihle's ID from the South African embassy in England.
"That's when his father was told that someone had collected the boy's travel certificate, and that was a shock to us," she said.
"After being alerted about my son coming to South Africa, I waited for him, but I never saw him.
"Together with my South African family I went to check at the airport where it was confirmed that he had landed in the country.
"By tracing his financial records, we found that he stayed at a Holiday Inn in Joburg. I went to check with the hotel and was told that he checked out after five days and never came back.
"I also went to a Parkview store where the records show that he bought something, but all this information has not led me to him," said Nomvula.
She told the Dailysun that she had checked at all the local police stations and immigration centres, but her son was not there.
Sihle has dark eyes, black hair and is 1,75m tall. He speaks English with a British accent.
