Woman claims she became 'six months pregnant overnight'

A man from Bulawayo's Luveve suburb got the shock of his life when a female stranger he had offered accommodation refused to vacate his house claiming he was responsible for her six months pregnancy.
Apparently Lloyd Charashika offered Talent Moyo overnight accommodation but in the morning when he asked Moyo to leave she refused.
She said she was not going anywhere as he was the father of her unborn child.
Charashika who ascertains that he had never met the woman before said he met the woman in a commuter omnibus and she asked for his help in locating a certain house in the suburb.
After offering to help, the two are said to have searched for the house but to no avail.
As it was getting dark, Charashika said goodbye to the woman who then asked for overnight accommodation.
In the morning, Moyo shocked her helper when she said that she was not going to leave as he was responsible for her pregnancy.
Shocked, Charashika tried to force her out.
He sought help from neighbours and Moyo reportedly told them that Charashika was the one who had impregnated her during the night.
After protracted negotiations, the woman finally agreed to leave the man's house.
Moyo is alleged to have later returned and told Charashika's kids that she had been sent by him to collect a DVD player.
On his return in the evening, the man reported the matter to the police.
Moyo was apprehended and brought before a court.
Provincial magistrate, Mr Willard Maphios Moyo found her guilty of a charge of theft and handed her a six months jail stint.
The sentence was wholly suspended on condition she does not commit a crime of similar nature within the next five years.
The court also took it into consideration that she was a first offender.
