A 23-year-old Zimbabwean woman, Nyumwai Caroline Mkurazhizha died of "manual strangulation" in Toronto, Canada, on Saturday.
Toronto Police said they were called to a home
(near Don Mills Road and Finch Avenue East) Saturday afternoon and found Mkurazhizha with apparent trauma to the body.
Mkurazhizha was pronounced dead in hospital the same day.
Police have said that the cause of her death was "manual strangulation."
Mohamed Adam Bharwani, 18, of Toronto, has been charged with first-degree murder.
Mkurazhizha had recently moved to Toronto for school.
She was enrolled in her first year of an accounting program at the London School of Business & Finance, which is located in Yonge and Eglinton area.
A school official told CBC News that Mkurazhizha was due to enroll for her second year of the program next month.
