Magwegwe Development Club is set to launch a junior football league on 2 April in a bid to revitalize grassroots soccer in Bulawayo.
The junior league will have 12 teams which are going to compete in the Under 14, 16 and 18 age groups.
Chairman of the Magwegwe Club, Joshua Makhawa, who is co-ordinating the league, said the aim of the league was to groom and nurture young football talent.
Makhawa added that they had so far approached the Zifa Bulawayo provincial leadership that had given them a go-ahead. .
The Ministry of Sports and Zifa leadership are expected to grace the launch on Saturday.
Despite looking forward to the launch, Makhawa added that they were still looking for donations from the cooperate world.
