FORMER Highlanders midfielder Mthulisi Maphosa has written to the Premier Soccer League club demanding over $7 000 in unpaid fees for the period he was with Bosso.
Maphosa had been with the Bulawayo football giants since 2011 before leaving at the end of the year. He has reportedly joined newly-promoted side Bulawayo City.
His manager, Ezra Sibanda claims his client is owed $7 200 in unpaid signing-on fees and winning bonuses.
Sibanda claimed Maphosa was owed $1 000 in unpaid signing on fees for the 2012-2013 season, $1 200 in winning bonuses for the same season and $5 000 in signing on fees for the 2014 and 2015 season.
"We are not fighting with Highlanders. Mthulisi has a family to feed and all we are asking is for his money."
Part of the letter dated January 14, read: "It is regrettable that the matter has reached this extent without due recognition."
Highlanders’ chief executive officer, Ndumiso Gumede confirmed that the club had received the letter stating they had responded accordingly.
