TODAY we published a story wherein we quoted Home Affairs Minister Ignatius Chombo saying the government is contemplating installing satellite at road blocks to curb rampant corruption.
The move sparked interest from many motorists who are abused by corrupt police at the country's numerous roadblocks.
Below we publish some of the insightful comments from our anonymous readers.
"It's all talk, nothing will stop corruption in Zimbabwe, the whole system is corrupt, from bob himself so let's stop lying to each other."
"You will be told that the machine is not working or the satellite has been stolen by one of our friends."
"Yeah...I'll believe it when I see it. ZRP are a law unto themselves. Ignatius, you are a naive fellow...!"
"It will mean nothing as the ZRP will still accept $5 in their pocket insted of pay lets say $20. And us the public will continue to do this as we dont want to pay $20. Get real everybody!!"
'Sorry, topic was meant to be "No more bribes at roadblocks" This corruption must stop, from the ministers down to the police, we sick and tired of this crap government, who h is crass ,corrupted and murderous."
"Yesterday driving to Byo from Harare there must have been about 20 police road blocks. Far too many. If this cashless road block fine system happens it will be step in the right direction. Toll roads next so ministers can't pay Zanu PF expenses with Zinara card."
"I hope this is true...I don't want to be continually harassed on the road."
"It may be of magnitude if it really take off the ground."
