Generations executive producer Mfundi Vundla and the programme's actors have finally decided to make peace.
This comes after weeks of uncertainty over whether their contract dispute would be solved. The actors had refused to go to work until they were given three-year contracts without any restrictive clauses.
The fight with Vundla involved stars including Sophie Ndaba, Menzi Ngubane, Katlego Danke and Winnie Modise.
But this week the SABC issued a statement saying the dispute had been resolved after Vundla met with Mzamo Attorneys, who were acting on behalf of the cast, on Monday.
It was agreed that cast members would receive a three-year contract, Morula Pictures and the SABC would review pay rates and last month's salaries would be paid.
Acting SABC CEO Hlaudi Motsoeneng said: "We are happy the matter has finally been laid to rest."
Advocate Desmond Brown, speaking for the actors, said: "We are delighted that the negotiations have reached this stage."
Vundla said: "I'm delighted that recording has resumed."
