Ukhozi FM maskandi DJs Khathide "Tshathugodo" Ngobe and Ngizwe Mchunu were not on air this past weekend for their popular show Sigiya Ngengoma.
Their show has a huge following of 2,3 million listeners.
Daily Sun understands that Ngobe and Mchunu just don't get along.
They were paired in 2008 on their show but they also have their own solo shows during the week.
A source at the station said jealousy was the cause of their discontent.
"When one of them gets a private gig to MC at a government or corporate event, the other one is not happy.
"The tension between them was evident when they arrived at separate times during the Amantshontsho kaMaskandi Awards in Durban last week.
"The word is that behind the scenes they hate each other's guts but in public they try to appear friendly."
Ngobe and Mchunu refused to comment on the allegations and referred Daily Sun to Ukhozi FM's programme manager, Zandile Tembe.
She confirmed that the DJs have work-related issues they have to deal with.
She said: "I can't divulge much about that, but we were not confident to let them present their show while there are outstanding issues to resolve. They are not suspended. Management will call them to a meeting this week to address the problem."
The two Satma winners were replaced by DJ Bheka Mchunu.
