Senior Police Officer Caught Bedding Junior's Wife

A senior police officer was assaulted and handcuffed after he was caught pants bedding a junior officer's wife at Gutu Police Station.

The senior cop allegedly tried to punch his way out of the house and broke one of the constables’ nose.

But his angry juniors bashed and subdued him during the incident which happened at around 10PM at Gutu police station on Monday.

A police source said Sergeant Amos Mandiwanza sent a Constable Chikono on an errand so that he could remain having sex with Chikono.

Unbeknown to him, Cst Chikono had received a tip off from colleagues that his wife was having an affair with Sgt Mandiwanza.

“Chikono plotted an ambush with his two friends. He pretended to go on the errand. The trio watched Sgt Mandiwanza sneaking into Cst Chikono’s house,” said a police officer who declined to be named.

“Moments later, they walked in on the lovebirds who were naked in bed, having sex. Sgt Mandiwanza became aggressive and attacked Cst Kashiri (24) who was one of Cst Chikono’s friends,” said the officer.

The source said Sgt Mandiwanza punched Cst Kashiri twice on the nose, resulting in him bleeding.

“He charged at Cst Kashiri and punched him twice on the nose. Blood gushed out but Cst Kashiri held onto the nude sergeant’s legs. Cst Chikono and the other friend clobbered Sgt Mandiwanza until he screamed for mercy. They then handcuffed him,” said the officer.

The source said as the trio dragged a naked Sgt Mandiwanzira to the Charge Office, he begged them to let him dress up.

The constables, said the source, allowed him to wear a pair of jeans and by then, a crowd of police officers had gathered to witness the spectacle.

“The crowd encouraged Cst Chikono to further assault Sgt Mandiwanza but an inspector came and ordered them to go to the Charge Office. Cst Kashiri made an assault report. The RRB number is 2762057,” said the source.

Another witness who spoke on condition of anonymity said: “We noticed something was amiss when we often saw Sgt Mandiwanza leaving Cst Chikono’s house whenever Cst Chikono was away on duty. Some people claimed they had seen Sgt Mandiwanza kissing and fondling Cst Chikono’s wife at the gate at night.

“I’m not sure who tipped off Cst Chikono but the trio ambushed Sgt Mandiwanza while he was having a nice time in that man’s bed. A fight broke out and he hit Cst Kashiri who then made a report.”

Masvingo police spokesperson Inspector Charity Mazula said she had not heard of the incident but requested time to get details on the matter.
