Civil servants are set to face another salary delay with government calling for a meeting to negotiate with the Apex council on their July pay dates.
Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Prisca Mupfumira yesterday confirmed that there will be dialogue over the civil servants' delayed salaries.
“There will be a meeting tomorrow where on our part, we will engage the Apex Council team leader Mrs Cecilia Alexander,” she said.
“We are in the final stages and dates will be availed to the workers first before they go public,”she added.
This comes after the country's military personnel did not receive their pay on their normal dates.
Fears have escalated on when civil servants will receive their salaries since pensioners are yet to be paid.
Pensioners are expected to get their June payouts today while staff under grant aided institutions will be paid on Thursday.
