Businessman, Wicknell Chivayo's media war over his decision to abandon Zifa continues with him taking on Higher Education minister Jonathan Moyo saying his comments on the Warriors’ sponsorship were irrelevant, and adding he was not afraid of the Tsholotsho North legislator.
"You are used to bullying people without money, who will not respond because they fear you," he wrote on Facebook yesterday.
Chivayo was responding to Moyo's statement that the national team needed a corporate sponsor rather an individual benefactor, who could withdraw sponsorship at a whim.
The young businessman claimed Warriors players, Knowledge Musona, Willard Katsande and Costa Nhamoinesu were giving him sleepless nights, as they kept sending him messages and calling him, apologising on behalf of a Sunday Mail journalist, who correctly reported that national team coach, Kalisto Pasuwa had not been paid for two months.
Chivayo said Zifa president, Philip Chiyangwa had sent him a message, saying “I love you forever”, while Sports minister Makhosini Hlongwane had also “apologised for the wrong article”, as the country needed the businessman.
Chivayo said if Moyo was that touched about the Warriors sponsorship, then the minister could donate one of the many cars he has at his home.
Neither Moyo, Hlongwane nor Chiyangwa were available for comment on the issue.
