Zanu PF and MDC MPs are demanding another hefty salary rise at a time the economy is on the brink of collapse.
The MPs have tabled a motion in Parliament demanding a hike in their basic wage of all members to a new range.
The rivalry between Zanu PF and MDC was traded for a treaty to agree on the figure they want in a meeting two weeks ago.
The MPs demand stretched to the improvement of their conditions of service arguing they are being treated as second fiddle to the judiciary and executive arms of government.
Zanu PF parliamentary member,Lovemore Matuke, confirmed that legislators want a raise but did not reveal the figure.
MDC parliamentarian, Innocent Gonese revealed that they are not happy about the outstanding allowances and fuel as they are hindering progress in their constituencies.
Their demands come as civil servants are struggling to make ends meet, put food on their table and send their children to school owing to meagre salaries whose pay dates are constantly changed.
