The man accused of raping three kids while playing them gospel music has been denied bail.
The man allegedly lured the children into his Ekurhuleni shack by buying them kotas.
Magistrate Joe Martini said in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court he could not release the man as he was a danger to children.
"The victims are young children and it's the court's duty to protect the young and innocent. They should be free to go out and play," he said.
Martini said the minors, aged between seven and 10, were very traumatised and were receiving ARVs, which made them feel sick.
The 41-year-old security guard at a school in Greenfields was bust on 20 August.
It's alleged he divided his shack with a curtain and while the children were watching DVDs, he would call them behind the curtain to rape them.
The children's mums believed the kotas had drugs in them because none spoke about being raped.
The court heard the man was HIV-positive.
